RV Shopping – Which RV will we choose?
We finally narrowed down our RV shopping list to three main types of RV’s:
1. Travel Trailers with a bunk room for which we’ll have to trade in the FJ Cruiser for a Land Cruiser or a Truck (semi-expensive option).
2. C-class with bunks that can tow the FJ Cruiser (Most expensive option).
3. A hybrid that can be towed by the FJ Cruiser (cheapest option).
Here are the three videos of each one:
Keystone Passport Ultra-Light Grand Touring 2920BH Travel Trailer
This Keystone Passport Ultra-Light Grand Touring 2920BH Bunkhouse Travel Trailer checks off a lot of boxes for our family. Lots of storage, places for everyone to sleep, very lightweight but still with a good solid construction. It would also be short enough to get into all the National Parks that provide camping spots for RV’s! Seems like a good choice!
Jayco Greyhawk 31FS C-Class
This Jayco Greyhawk 31FS Class-C Bunkhouse RV checks off a lot of boxes for our family. Good amount of storage, places for everyone to sleep with privacy curtains, and sliding doors, upscale good construction with class A interior. Watch the last video to see if we choose it or not.
Jayco X17Z & 16RB Hybrids
These are the Jay Feather X17Z and 16RB. They are very similar, but with slightly different options. While they are great weekend campers, and light enough to pull with our FJ Cruiser or 4runner, they just don’t provide enough space for our family.
We went to camping world – not because they are giving us anything for doing so – simply because they had the inventory for the type of RVs we were looking for. Plus they make it easy to search online for different types of RV’s (and we searched a lot of RV dealers’ websites and unaffiliated selling sites), so that helped us to know we could find what we were looking for at specific locations. Yet, we still ended up having to go to two locations. This particular one was in Mesa, Arizona.
