Solar Eclipse 2017 Adventure

I made a bunch of videos of my Solar Eclipse Adventure. Here they all are for your viewing enjoyment.

My plans for the eclipse:

I’m giving away something “powerful”! I also discuss my plans for the Solar Eclipse, and what it takes to photograph it. Can I make it happen with a Cell Phone?! Find out next week!

Here’s what I bought for my cell phone to try and take a picture of the eclipse.

Similar items to the one I’m giving away. Mine is 2600MA and only has a micro USB plug on it.

My Epic Failure Photographing the Eclipse:

My family and I headed up to Rexburg, Idaho for the 2017 Solar Eclipse. In this video, I show our adventure of driving to Rexburg and my attempt to photograph the eclipse with sub-standard equipment (trying to use what I had available as I don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on a nice camera).

I show you my cell phone photography hack for photographing the eclipse with my LG V20, but at the last minute, I failed to get the photo to focus, mostly because I was already scrambling to get my ThiEYE action camera to work with a dead battery on my Smooth-Q gimbal.

Here’s my amazon affiliate links to the equipment I used (or something very similar) and other equipment shown in this video:

A Monocular with Cell Phone Attachment.
4×4″ Solar Filter Sheet.
LG V20.

10 Stop / 1000-ND 58mm filter.
Cannon EOS Rebel.
55-250mm Zoom Lens.

Zooney Smooth-Q.
ThiEYE T5e.
iKNOWTECH mounting plate.
Cheap Tri-pod.
