Muddy Rocky Road is named such because it has muddy washes to the west, and is full of rocks in the middle.

It’s full of beautiful forest landscapes, and volcanic rockscapes. It’s useful as a way to get from East Pocket Road into the deeper western portions of Coconino National Forest.
